Advanced features for UF, RO, and IX technologies
WAVE software for water-treatment plant design includes advanced features for UF, RO, and IX, and technologies to maximize multi-technology design efficiency.
Ultrafiltration (UF) advanced features include:
- WAVE allows to design with mini-CIP chemical cleaning protocol. User can choose three options: “CEB only”, “mini-CIP only” and “CEB and mini-CIP."
- In ultrafiltration, backwash options have been upgraded to consider the required steps for UXA products.
- The latest UF products, including IntegraFlux™ and IntegraPac™ UF Modules with XP Fiber.
- Updated design guidelines and pressure rating curves.
- Membrane integrity testing capabilities.
- Advanced clean-in-place (CIP) protocols and use of RO concentrate for cleaning.
- Inputs for advanced design: the ability to specify the pH of chemical solutions used in the maintenance and cleaning protocols, transmembrane pressure (TMP) slopes for BW/CEB/CIP, and design for constant flux vs. constant output.

The reverse osmosis products database has been upgraded to include:

- FilmTec™ CR100(i) element

- FilmTec™ Fortilife™ CR50 reverse osmosis element: the introductory product to the well-known Fortilife™ Family for selective regions. It is designed for a long lifetime and provides reliable performance in fouling-prone waters.
- FilmTec™ Fortilife™ CR200 reverse osmosis element, as the premium product to Fortilife™ Family launched in Greater China and coming soon to other regions, is an expertly designed contaminant resistant element for treating and recycling the combined challenge of biological and organic fouling prone waters.
- FilmTec™ NF270-440 enables end-users to reduce CAPEX of NF systems for municipal drinking water projects by offering up to 10% more active membrane area. It also delivers more than 10% energy saving and improvement on biofouling resistance.

Ion Exchange (IX) advanced features include:
- Ion exchange reports have been improved and optimized in order to better reflect customer needs.
- Harmonized data for all processes and resins.
- Ability to model multiple IX processes, including softening, dealkalinization, demineralization, RO/IX polishing, and condensate polishing.
- Multiple IX regeneration schemes, including concurrent, water, or air-blocked packed beds, AmberPack™ IX systems, Upcore™ IX systems, and internal and external mixed beds.

Note: If one or more of the above requirements is absent, it will be installed along with WAVE installation setup (Setup.exe).
