Enabled by DuPont technologies, China‘s "Coal to Chemical" industry recovers high quality sodium chloride and sodium sulfate from its wastewater minimal liquid discharge (MLD) process, allowing for the reuse of those salts within other industries, including chlor-alkali, soda, dying, leather processing, and construction. Salt recovery has helped these facilities reduce operational costs, shrink their carbon footprint, and open additional revenue streams through carbon credits and carbon trading programs.
