Taping the seams after wrapping – in addition to taping any tears or holes – is the best practice for maximum reduction of air and water intrusion into the building envelope. Application and Service Temperature
- Heat/cold resistance – withstands temperature extremes from -40 °F (-40 °C) to 220 °F (104 °C).

Can DuPont™ Tyvek® Tape be used in lieu of DuPont™ Flashing Tape? No, Tyvek® Tape is not a flashing product and its primary use is to seal DuPont™ Tyvek® WRB seams. Will duct tape work as well as Tyvek® Tape? No. Duct tape is not designed to be used with Tyvek® products. Tyvek® Tape has been specifically designed to work with Tyvek® products, and should be used in all situations when sealing of the Tyvek® seams is necessary.
