What insulation tapes does DuPont recommend for foil-faced DuPont™ Thermax™ Brand Insulation and DuPont™ Tuff-R™ Polyisocyanurate Foam Insulation products? Aluminum foil tapes for DuPont foil-faced insulation products have vapor retarder characteristics and provide improved protection against air infiltration when properly applied. DuPont offers the following aluminum foil tapes:
1. Thermax™ Aluminum Foil Tape: 2.0 mil (50 micron) high-strength aluminum foil with aggressive acrylic adhesive system; suitable for both low and high-temperature applications. Pressure sensitive.
2. Thermax™ White Foil Tape: 2.0 mil (50 micron) high-strength white aluminum foil with aggressive acrylic adhesive system; suitable for both low- and high-temperature applications. Pressure sensitive. Conforms well to smooth and embossed surfaces. Designed for use with white acrylic-embossed Thermax™ insulation/finish boards.
