FilmTec™ iLEC™ technology is an innovative element coupling technology for FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis Elements that helps to:
- Reduce troubleshooting upon RO system startup.
- Sustain higher permeate quality throughout the life of the element by reducing seal leakage.
- Lower the cost of seal maintenance.
- Save energy by reducing permeate back pressure.
FilmTec™ iLEC™ is a definitive breakthrough compared to traditional permeate interconnectors. It replaces theradially-compressed sliding seal found on conventional couplers. Theaxially-compressed FilmTec™ iLEC™ seal is designed in accordance with good engineering practice for high-pressure hydraulic connections. Because the conventional interconnector has sliding seals at each end, the total number of seals between elements, and the associated opportunities for failure, are reduced by half.
Uses
- FilmTec™ iLEC™ serves as an interlocking end-cap technology of FilmTec™ RO/NF elements that avoids the need of installing an interconnector between membranes.
