AmberLite™ Ion Exchange Resins
DuPont™ AmberLite™ 600BB
AmberLite™ 600BB Inert Resin is a non-functionalized, spherical resin used in mixed beds. Its density and particle size are tightly controlled to have a terminal settling velocity that is intermediate to those of the cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin, creating an inert zone between the functional resins wherein the regenerant is collected. The white color of AmberLite 600BB makes the separation zone highly visible and compatible with both gel and macroporous mixed bed combination. This inert zone reduces the risk of cross-regeneration, improving water quality and rinse time whether it is used in internally- or externally-regenerated mixed bed systems. AmberLite™ 600BB is used in condensate polishing systems for the electrical power generation industry and in other high-purity mixed bed systems.
Uses
- Mixed bed condensate polishing in power stations
- Mixed bed polishing in industrial demineralization
Advantages
- Reduces the risk of cross-regeneration, improving water quality and rinse time whether it is used in internally or externally regenerated mixed bed systems
- Tightly controlled density and particle size to have a terminal settling velocity that is intermediate to those of the cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin
- The white color of AmberLite™ 600BB makes it visible for all mixed bed combinations defined in the Product Data Sheet, facilitating separation and regeneration operations
