Assembly & Run-in

During assembly, not all parts fit together in the same way. Some parts assemble quite easily with ample clearance, while others may have interference and need to be pressed together. Proper lubrication can prevent surface damage during initial startup or run-in of new or rebuilt equipment such as gears, splines, journal bearings, cams and ways.
